These two effects are feeling of emotion in the brain and expression of emotion in autonomic and somatic nervous systems. The limbic system was proposed by Papez. The word limbic means boarder. The rendition is that emotional expression is controlled by several nuclei and tracts that are co-ordinated and go around the thalamus.
